Well,
last week confirmed the CCHL is truly where the best play! The level of play
was very impressive with highlight reel goals and great efforts on display.
All
teams have a strong chance of competing for the top spots this season. Keep up
the great work and lets strengthen those tired legs and get back in game shape!
As We Move Into Week #2, A Couple
Of Updates And Reminders:
1. For those
of you who were absent from Week #1, please check-in at the league
table before your next game to pick-up your sweater and to provide outstanding
waiver forms and/or league fees.
If
you played
last week and owe any of the aforementioned items, please stop by as
well.
2. For those under
19 years of age and have not submitted a completed waiver form, please
ensure you do so before your next game. Reminder: you need to complete this
form with your parents. Those who have not submitted their completed forms will
not be eligible to play!!! Like last week, we will have waiver forms on hand if
you forget to print and complete it at home.
3. At a
minimum, the CCHL requires all players to wear at least a half-visor in order to play.
The use of a mouth guard is also strongly recommended as well. As a reminder, a
half visor and a mouth guard are required to qualify for insurance coverage for
players above 19 years of age. Please ensure your adhere to this policy, as you
will NOT be permitted to play without proper facial protection and be at risk
of not qualifying for insurance coverage.
4.Spare players
are allowed as per the CCHL Rules. HOWEVER, spare players MUST be pre-cleared
with the league prior to playing in any game (24 hours via email), and are
subject to a game fee of $20. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!! This policy has
been put in place to maintain the equity for our regular paying membership.
5. The CCHL and the Bell
Sensplex would like to remind all players that no player is allowed on the ice until
BOTH Zamboni doors are closed.
6. The CCHL is STILL
accepting players/goaltenders for our waiting/spares list. We use our
spares list to fill in full-time and occasional team gaps. Interested parties
should complete the online application form

Guys like...
Ryan Spooner: drafted 5th overall by the Peterborough Petes in the first round of the 2008 OHL Priority Selection and drafted by Boston 45th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Calvin de Haan: drafted 12th overall by the New York Islanders in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Paul Byron: drafted 179th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Darroll Powe: Former Princeton Tigers Captain and Philadelphia Flyers player. Now a member of the Minnesota Wild.
